That's
according to a survey conducted by the China Youth Daily, which
attracted nearly 2000 young people, of an average age of 27, to express
their dreams and concerns for the new year. Nearly 80 per cent
of respondents said keeping fit was their biggest personal wish for
2006. Improvements in their studies, careers and relationships were
ranked next. Although improving themselves is most young
people's vision for the future, the survey also found more than one
third of respondents thought the most urgent thing to improve was their
salary. They are concerned that their stable incomes are not keeping
pace with rising prices.
More than 50 per cent hope
environmental pollution can be more effectively controlled in 2006.
This hope is listed ahead of "improving public safety", "narrowing the
gap between the rich and poor" and "lowering medical costs". | |
